Because no one can do it
alone
Now, in no particular
order:
- Mark Melchiorre, Acupuncturist and Mentor. Visit him at
www.melchiorre.com
for more information on acupuncture, herbs or the Melchiorre family. Thanks for
the endless encouragement and bottomless cups of
coffee!
- Endless thanks to the crew, past and present, at Norcostco
California Costume for the wonderful clothes. Robin, Jen,
Sammy, Mark and Wayne - you guys are the TOPS!
- Andrew Ligon, Journalist, Rock Steady Presence and Cat Herder, for suddenly
and unexpectedly appearing in my life just when I needed it,
bringing good luck and good laughs.
- Rita Panahi, LAc for your solid good sense and vibrant good
humour
- Rosie Sandragorsian, LAc for sharing your journey through school
and life
- Thank you to the people at
Zen
Center, San Francisco. Especially
to Teah, for bailing me out when I needed a Buddhist approach
to marriage. Your assistance was invaluable then and still very
much appreciated!
- A note about Teah, from the
Zen Center website: Teah Strozer met Suzuki Roshi in 1966 and
has been practicing at Zen Center since 1971. She has been
director at Tassajara and City Center and tenzo at all three
centers and is currently tanto (head of practice) at City
Center
- And some thank yous to people who,
throughout the years, have encouraged me. Some are now dead, some
have just faded away, but all are still deeply appreciated:
- Bengt, who taught me how to
argue and how to laugh at myself
- Mauricio who, in addition to
teaching me how to turn a phrase, engaged me in the study and
search for meaning and helped me understand world views and
their importance
- Anthea, who taught me the importance
of being true to your inner self
- David Neal who introduced me to
Buddhism
- Ceinwen, Gwyllym and the rest who
taught me to not only think outside the box, but to live
outside it as well
- Dave Ricker, who taught me about the
spirit in music and the beauty in Sheep Swiving Day (I hope I
spelled that right . . .). His music is missed, his spirit lives in
all of us who knew him.
- Bob Thomas, an inspiration in general
and a much missed piper
- Michele & Gary Allison, Desert
Kennels. Thanks for the encouragement and thanks for 'Angel'. For
more information on their Shiloh Shepherds, email them at
angeldee@aol.com .
- Gayle Grasmehr, DVM. Thank you for being
patient with me, your steady presence freed me to focus on work
and you never treated me like what I was, a nervous puppy
mother!
I especially want to thank all the brides and
grooms who have included me in their special days throughout the
years - you're what makes it all worthwhile! Thanks!
